Project company Landesgartenschau

The project company Landesgartenschau was founded on 23 April 1997 by the Landesverband Gartenbau Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. and the Verband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar e.V.
The Association of German Landscape Architects Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland subsequently became a shareholder.
In addition to the three shareholders, the Supervisory Board of the Project Company Landesgartenschau also includes the Association of German Nurseries, the Rhineland-Palatinate-Saar Regional Association, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture.
Managing Directors of the project company in 2018 are Dr. Ulrike Sacher, Edenkoben and Welmar Rietmann, Waldböckelheim. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board is Andreas Thielen, St. Sebastian.

The project company Landesgartenschau has prepared all Rhineland-Palatinate state garden shows,

carried out and handled with the respective cities. To this end, it is establishing an implementing company with the city, in which it has a 40% stake.
In the implementing company, the project company sends a full-time, technical manager. These were Matthias Schmitt for Kaiserslautern, Matthias Schmauder for Trier, Bingen and Landau as well as Thomas Schwager-Guillemenet until 01.07.2018 and Martin Schulz-Brehme from 01.07.2018 for Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.
In the supervisory board of the implementing company, the project company Landesgartenschau is represented next to the full-time managing director with 4 supervisory board members from the associations. The managing directors of the project company participate as guests.

Through the involvement of landscape architects, garden landscapers, ornamental plant gardeners, cemetery gardeners and nurseries in the preparation and implementation of the state garden show, the associations can map the entire range of know-how, production and service of the "green" industry.
